You’ve officially completed the TTC College Substance Use Disorder Counseling Certificate Program- congratulations!
That’s a huge milestone, and we’re proud of your achievement.
Now it’s time to take the next steps toward full certification. Below, you’ll find a step-by-step guide to help you complete your post-program requirements:
Step 1: Receive Your Certificate & Transcript
Once you complete the program you must continue to complete your externship required hours according to your accrediting body.

Step 3: Apply for the Certification Exam
Begin your application for the Substance Use Disorder Counselor certification exam through your selected certifying body.
Step 4: Prepare for the Exam
Use study guides, practice tests, and prep resources provided by your certifying body or TTCC.
TTCC also hosts exam prep workshops to boost your confidence and readiness!

Step 5: Schedule and Take the Exam
Choose a convenient date and location to take your certification exam.
Step 6: Share Your Success
Once you pass, notify TTCC- we want to celebrate your achievement!🎉Send your accomplishments information to studentaffairs@tarzanatc.org.
Step 7: Launch Your Career
Start applying for roles such as:
- Substance Use Counselor
- Recovery Technician
- Case Manager
- Behavioral Health Assistant
