Substance Use Disorder Counseling Certificate

Admission into the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counseling Certificate Program requires a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent and a student interview. Students are required to submit a Student Enrollment Agreement, Application Fee, and Registration Deposit in order to process admission.

The TTCC SUD Certification program contains 8 courses, including two Practicum courses. TTCC’s SUD 101-107 are primarily online courses with 1-2 in-class meetings per month. SUD 108 combines internship hours with TTCC professor sign-off.
SUD 101-107 are designed to be finished within a 6-month period, with additional time offered as needed to complete SUD 108.

The requirements for the Substance Use Disorder Counseling Certificate include successful completion of all 8 SUD core courses (315 hours) including 255 practicum hours and passing the Addiction Counselor Exam (ACE) administered by TTCC. All coursework must be completed with a 75% – C or higher and 255 hours of practicum must be complete to receive graduation packet and final transcripts.

TTCC does not currently have any transfer or articulation agreements with any other colleges or universities. TTCC does not currently accept transfer credits from other institutions or provide challenge examinations or achievement tests in lieu of TTCC specific coursework.
