Mentored Internship Program (MIP)

Behavioral Health Mentored Internship Program (MIP)

Tarzana Treatment Centers College’s Mentored Internship Program (MIP) is designed to equip students with a robust platform to hone professional skills, receive comprehensive development training, and gain invaluable experience essential for seamless integration into the behavioral health workforce.
This 12-week, compensated, cohort-based initiative offers interns a structured framework for growth, featuring formal mentorship from well-experienced TTCC leaders/supervisors, individual and group supervision meetings, and comprehensive professional development training.

MIP interns are paired with leading healthcare administrators from different programs across the organization who serve not only as preceptors, but as professional mentors during their internship. Over their 12-week program, MIP interns can explore a variety of core competencies through projects including: public health education, networking & supervised outreach events, shadowing, data research, and more! TTC College’s MIP also delves deeper into the opportunities available throughout the behavioral health care industry, hosting curated weekly workshops and trainings that cover a range of important health science topics and professional skill-building.

TTC College’s MIP team hopes to provide multiple avenues of support for interns, through individual supervisions and meetings each week with their mentor & cohort to foster professional connections and assignment understanding. In addition, TTCC’s intern site supervisor follow interns throughout their program; interviewing, onboarding, and serving as a resource on-site for MIP interns to ensure intern success & satisfaction with their internship.
