Yes. TTC staff are eligible to apply for any TTCC academic program, and tuition may be financially covered by the agency. Staff must indicate “TTC Employee” when asked about funding sources during the application process.

Employment at TTC or TTCC is not guaranteed upon completion of a program. However, TTCC provides extensive career support services, including job placement assistance, interview preparation, resume building, and application guidance.

TTCC offers a variety of student resources, including the Ubuntu Rising Scholars Academy, which provides support with job placement, housing assistance, and connections to legal resources.

Yes. The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program requires students to complete in-person internship hours each week at an approved internship or practicum site. Students are responsible for securing their own site, though TTCC provides assistance if a student is unable to find one. The Medi-Cal Peer Support Program offers an in-person platform, if selected by the student.

Students will need frequent access to a laptop or desktop with internet access. Additional equipment may include a webcam and microphone for any live lecture participation.

We are currently not partnered with any academic institution to send or accept transfer credits. To request transcripts, please email ttccrecords@tarzanatc.org.

TTCC uses the following grading system to evaluate the academic performance of the students where necessary:

  • 90-100% = A 4.0 = Outstanding
  • 80-89% = B 3.0 = Very Good
  • 75-79% = C 2.0 = Pass
  • Below 75% = D 1.0 = Not Passing
  • I = I Incomplete
  • W = W Withdrawn

All programs are currently only providing instruction in English. TTCC aims to launch a Spanish instruction for the Substance Use Disorder Counseling program. Once more information is available, we will provide more information here.

Academic probation at TTCC is managed through the Academic Improvement Plan (AIP), which provides students with a structured pathway to regain good academic standing. Students on probation must maintain a minimum grade of 70 percent, meet all assignment deadlines or request extensions in advance, respond to college communications within 48 hours, uphold academic integrity, and any required meetings on time.

You can check your grades through the Moodle online learning platform. Students can also contact their instructor directly for clarification. Please use the following link to access your Moodle account: https://ttcc.expertlearning.net/login/index.php

Possibly. While TTCC does not reject applicants solely based on past convictions, please be aware:

For the SUD Program

  • Some practicum sites and employers require background checks
  • Partner agencies may restrict placements based on criminal history
  • Completion of a practicum/internship is required for graduation and certification eligibility

If you are unable to secure a practicum due to background restrictions, this may impact your ability to complete the program.

For the PSS Program

  • Your background will not impact your ability to complete the PSS program
  • However, we cannot guarantee that you will receive employment upon completion of the Peer Support Specialist program

Yes. TTCC is committed to equitable access and supporting individuals on their academic and career journey.
Many of our students enter this field with lived experience, and we value that perspective. Please visit our Ubuntu Rising Scholars Academy program to learn more about the supportive services offered to justice-impacted students.

No. Tarzana Treatment Centers College welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, including justice-impacted individuals. A past conviction does not automatically disqualify you from admission to our programs. However, we strongly encourage applicants with prior convictions to connect with our Admissions & Records Team early in the process by emailing us at enrollment@tarzanatc.org.

We are here to support you and can:

  • Discuss practicum site expectations
  • Explore placement options
  • Share community and re-entry resources
  • Help you plan for successful program completion
