What is Mentored Internship Program (MIP)?
The MIP (Mentor Internship Program) is a structured internship program that provides supervised field experience.
Who qualifies to apply to the Mentored Internship Program?
Eligibility for the Mentored Internship Program requires enrollment in a college or university and successful completion of the interview process. MIP is open to students who are interested in behavioral health and to those seeking experience in healthcare administration.
How long is the program?
The Mentored internship Program is a 13-week internship.
How many hours do you have to complete as an intern at MIP?
Interns are expected to complete 10 on-site hours per week throughout the program.
Are they flexible with students school schedules?
Yes, the schedule is flexible. The program is designed to accommodate students’ academic schedules. However, there is one required on-site day each week, determined by cohort availability. Interns work with their mentor to set hours, but any scheduled time must be in blocks of at least two hours.
How do I Apply?
What is the dress code if accepted into MIP?
Interns are expected to dress in business casual attire. In addition, tattoos and piercings are permitted as long as they are appropriate for a professional workplace.
What is a mentor? Who would my mentor be?
A mentor is a program supervisor at TTCC who provides guidance, assigns tasks, gives feedback, and supports your professional development throughout the 13-week internship. Mentors are assigned based on your academic interests and program needs.
Is there a cost to the Mentored Internship Program?
Tuition is not required to participate in the MIP program.
Do we get a graduation ceremony, transcripts and/or a certificate of completion?
Interns receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program. Please note that transcripts are not provided for interns.
