Benita Anvieh

Benita Anvieh has joined TTC College as the first full-time lead faculty for California’s first Medi-Cal peer support specialization program. Benita has been working to build the foundation and the curriculum and she is the primary trainer for the program. 

Benita is proud to be Assyrian and she’s originally from Iran. She has been here in the United States for almost 14 years now. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from CSUN and a Master’s in Public Health from West Coast University. She additionally has AA Degrees in Psychology and Child Development. Benita has worked previously as a Community Health Worker, Case Manager, Health Educator, Behavioral Therapist, and Special Education Paraeducator. She has specialized in working with children, adults, and the elderly from different ages, backgrounds, and conditions. Benita is fluent in several languages including Assyrian, Farsi, Azeri, and Turkish. In her free time, she enjoys being out in nature, going on hikes, or to the beach.
