Senior Manager of Implementation
Baylee Garland is a Senior Program Manager for a Non-Profit organization called Peer Health Exchange which works to provide young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make informed decisions regarding their health. Baylee is responsible for the oversight and training of 5 staff members an 250+ college volunteers and ensures the successful implementation of a comprehensive health curriculum in high school classrooms in the Boston Area, serving roughly 5400 young people. Prior to this role, she worked for 6 years in college management and supporting the growth and wellbeing of college students. Baylee had the opportunity to work at both at both Cal State Northridge and USC creating engaging and equitable experiences for students living in on campus housing and served in a crisis response capacity where she responded to students in real time struggling with mental health, substance abuse, and incidents of domestic violence. During this time, she also served on the Executive board for the Western Association of College and University Housing Officers (WACUHO), where she was able to work regionally to create conferences and events for student leaders, lead discussions on student health, and support initiatives for social justice and student engagement. Baylee received her MPH with an emphasis in Community Health Education from Cal State Northridge. Her goal is to empower young people and college students towards success in their health and wellbeing as well as provide opportunities for advancement for folks in underserved communities
